Jordana Rochkind (Eisen) Art
My work is about relationships, memories, dreams, and self-identity. I am interested in capturing everyday moments and domesticity. I touch upon many personal themes such as solitude, comfort, frustrations, obsessions, thoughts, changes, and everyday occurrences. My work often incorporates text and tells a story.

While I consider myself a mixed media artist, I work primarily with printmaking, sewing and bookart materials and processes. Most of my work is small in scale. I feel the small scale helps create an intimate and personal experience for the viewer. My goal is for the viewer to feel the need to stand close to my artwork and spend time with each piece, to understand it, experience it and relate to it.

In 2009 I received my Masters in Fine Arts from the State University of New York in New Paltz. In 2007 I completed my Bachelors of Fine Arts with a concentration in Printmaking, from the Corcoran College of Art and Design, in Washington DC.
